Don't ask me why

If you can, please don't ask me why,
When you feel like asking me, please don't try,
There is no evidence or reason to why I love you with all  my heart
I was with you since day one wasn't I?
Trust no one they say, but I'm someone ain't I?
If your answer is yes, please spare me the WHYs;

True love, I might not believe in,
Love at first sight, I might not have seen,
but all I acknowledge is you and me;
Love is a mystery, but i love you with simplicity,
Let's be the reason they wanna go through thick and thin,
Don't fuss over anything and let us be;

I represent Team Talk Less,
I believe in silence,
but i won't deny how much I care.
Love me like you'll never love again,
love me and I won't make you regret,
Divided we are crap, together we are great;

Superflous are my words, when I think of you,
I think that's enough proof that I love you,
now take a deep breath, think of me and you;
 and NEVER EVER ASK ME WHY I LOVE YOU.

Think outside the box

You have probably heard the phrase “Think outside the box!” or came across the phrase in literature at least once in your lifetime. The expression has become a mantra frequently quoted in various institutions with the intention to encourage imaginative thinking, creativity and innovation. We have been subjected to a comfort zone characterized by familiar and linear routines which “boxes” our minds. I have always wondered, why think outside the box? Then I came across a quote that read “there are many ways to kill a cat” and then I thought to myself “that’s it.” We have to realize the importance of breaking through the status quo and the decades-old approaches to life, problem solving and strategizing thus this article’s primary intention. Resolved, one has to think outside the box because there are many ways to kill a cat. Inside the box which are the different societies we live in, there are set norms for us to believe from a tender age such that we cannot act or think contra...

HOW SOCIAL MEDIA IS KILLING YOUR RELATIONSHIP

To us millennials, social media has become part of our life-package and ceased to be the mere privilege and a means of social connection it ought to be. While social media has the potential to beautify our day-to-day relationships, it also has the ability to cause great damage, particularly in our relationships. Social media can become an addiction. Frankly, I am on Whatsapp, Instagram, Twitter or Facebook throughout the day, partly because I am a blogger and need to stay abreast but the other part of me just loves seeing newsfeeds and stories from various people (some I don’t even know in person). I am curious about their lifestyle and how they spend their time which got me realizing that this can be a hazardous place to be. One minute you’re looking at the #ManCrushMonday hashtag on Instagram, and the next moment you take your eyes of the screen, it’s three years later, you’ve suffered a major heartbreak and you’re lonely despite the endless friend-lists or the infinite scroll...

Complicated As It Were.

‘For these and other days, I express regret for the complications I have instigated in your hearts and minds.’ – Lord Vito Relationships nowadays have lost value and meaning, leaving a trail of heart-breaks and hatred as it were. Friendship is no longer a golden-tie, love is meaningless, relation-ships are beginning to sink and the life jackets are deflated as it were, leaving a few survivors if any. Love is maturing into stressful lives, unsolved mysteries, and heated arguments. Unforgettable pasts are starting to creep into healthy relationships thus weakening their immunity to third parties and interference from uninvited guests. Our partners’ friends of the opposite sex have become nothing but potential rivals. Relationships nowadays are for nothing more than convenience. Nine out of ten times, the guy/girl we’re told not to worry about becomes our successor after we’re dumped, our instincts are almost right but we ignore the truth for temporary happiness. ...
