GRACIAS

Thank you for coming into my life

For showing me good times

For being the shoulder I needed

For immersing me in laughter and joy

For sharing your thoughts

Thank you for the free lessons you taught me

For sharing your bliss

For sharing your gloom

For showing yourself

Thank you for teaching me the art of betrayal

For showing me the opposite of love

For showing me the risks of falling in love

For preparing me for the worst

For bringing out emotions I never thought I had

Thank you for changing me

For making me appreciate the good in bad

For making me realize how strong I am

Thank you for making me the best of persons

I hope I made you a better person too

And above all, I hope I left you a grateful soul.

HOW SOCIAL MEDIA IS KILLING YOUR RELATIONSHIP

To us millennials, social media has become part of our life-package and ceased to be the mere privilege and a means of social connection it ought to be. While social media has the potential to beautify our day-to-day relationships, it also has the ability to cause great damage, particularly in our relationships. Social media can become an addiction. Frankly, I am on Whatsapp, Instagram, Twitter or Facebook throughout the day, partly because I am a blogger and need to stay abreast but the other part of me just loves seeing newsfeeds and stories from various people (some I don’t even know in person). I am curious about their lifestyle and how they spend their time which got me realizing that this can be a hazardous place to be. One minute you’re looking at the #ManCrushMonday hashtag on Instagram, and the next moment you take your eyes of the screen, it’s three years later, you’ve suffered a major heartbreak and you’re lonely despite the endless friend-lists or the infinite scroll...

My Prodigal Wife

Today I wonder if what I did was right. To be within myself and let my heart fight. To lose someone so special like you. And never to let out even a slight clue. I confess I was always crazy about you. I admit I couldn't stop falling in love with you. You filled my empty feeling within, for you were with me through thick and thin. Every time I spoke to you, the more I fell in love with you. U left me no choice but to watch someone else enjoy my piece of cake. I could bear an empty heart, but not lose a smile that made the dark glow. I saw my dream breaking, and yet I held back my tears to fulfill ur dreams which you always whispered close to my ears. I was in pain and yet I pretended to be strong. I always wished for u to be right and me to be wrong  I stayed quiet even when I had most to say just to avoid a rant My heart wanted you to stop hurting me but your happiness mattered more. I wanted to say that which would make you stay but my lips didn...

The New Millennial Cancer

Socialization can be anything from being good, necessary, to being evil depending on what each individual or institution perceive. As in the words of the famous or infamous Adolf Hitler: “through clever and constant application of propaganda, people can be made to see paradise as hell, and vice versa to consider the most wretched sort of life as paradise.”- Adolf Hitler. The aggravated absent mindedness people suffer from as soon as they get online, as they get sucked into a world of sublime lies, fabrication and fantasies; reminds me that socialization has ceased to be a matter of where one comes from but what one is exposed to. With media taking over almost every little remains of what was once called culture, culture itself is no longer of significance. I do not seek to anciently react to how people dress, talk or eat but my primary concern has always ascended when people start living a lie which I’ve coined “the new millennial cancer.” I realized that anyone an...
